The Lanett High School football team will play in the 2A State Championship Game on Friday, December 5 in Birmingham, AL. School will be closed to allow everyone the opportunity to travel safely to the game. Go Panthers!

Their commitment has earned them a place in the 2A Football State Championship Game, and we could not be more excited to support them as they represent our community on this statewide stage. Lanett will take on Coosa Christian on Friday, December 5, at 3:00 PM Central/4:00 PM Eastern at Protective Stadium in Birmingham. Many of our students, teachers, support staff, and administrators will be involved in this event. To allow everyone the opportunity to travel safely and attend the championship game, Lanett City Schools will be closed on Friday, December 5. As we celebrate this remarkable accomplishment, I encourage the entire City of Lanett and our surrounding communities to show your Panther Pride all week long by wearing black and gold, supporting our players and coaches, and uniting as one community behind our Panthers. On Friday, fans are encouraged to arrive early to participate in pregame activities, including the Panther Walk into the stadium at 1:00PM Central/2:00PM Eastern.
