This year's district-wide theme, “Mission Possible,” set the tone for a year focused on commitment, collaboration, and high expectations. The day served as a strong start to what promises to be a purposeful and impactful school year. We are eager to see our students tomorrow.

Welcome our new central office administrator  -  It's a Great Day to be a Panther! We are excited to announce that Ms. Hilda Carlisle  has been selected as the new  HR & CTE Director for Lanett City Schools.  Ms. Carlisle transitioned from the business sector to education in 2011, beginning her teaching career as an English Language Arts teacher in the Chambers County School System. In 2013, she joined Lanett City Schools as a Business Education Teacher. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from Faulkner University, a Master's degree from LaGrange College, and an Ed.S in Leadership from Liberty University.  During her time as a teacher, Ms. Carlisle found immense satisfaction in fostering her students' academic and personal growth, building lasting relationships, and contributing to their overall success. In 2021, she was appointed as the district's Career and Technical Education Director, later also serving as Career Coach. In this role, she's dedicated to leading and overseeing programs that prepare students for college and careers.  For the 2025-26 school year, Ms. Carlisle is enthusiastically taking on a new position as a Central Office Administrator in Human Resources, while continuing her responsibilities as CTE Director.   Ms. Carlisle loves the Lanett Panther Family!
Lanett City Schools welcomes Ms. Lakendra Staples as the district Career Coach. The Career Coach for Lanett City Schools works with all grade levels, assisting students to identify career goals, promoting academic and career success using the Alabama Career Development Model. The Alabama Career Development Model is designed to provide all students enrolled in Grades K-12 in the Alabama educational system with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to be college and career-ready and prepared to enter postsecondary education or the workforce.

Welcome our new Career Coach for Lanett City Schools - It's a Great Day to be a Panther! We are excited to announce that Miss LaKendra Staples has been selected as the new  Career Coach for Lanett City Schools. Lakendra Staples brings three years of experience to her role. She previously taught 6th grade and served as a School Counseling Intern within the district. Miss Staples holds an Associate's Degree from Southern Union State Community College, a Bachelor's Degree from Jacksonville State University, and a Master's Degree from Capella University.  Her passion is to guide students in reaching their full potential and prepare them for success in the real world. She's committed to supporting students as they explore their academic and career paths, aiming to equip each student with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in school and beyond. Miss Staples helps students make informed decisions about their future through career exploration, goal setting, and life skill development.  Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance. Ms. Staples is eager to work with students and families to ensure a successful academic journey.

Just a reminder to all students and parents: Lanett City Schools has a policy prohibiting the use of cell phones and other personal devices during the school day. This is now also supported by the new state FOCUS Act, reinforcing our commitment to focused learning.

Devices must be turned off and out of sight from arrival on campus until the end of the school day, including lunch and class changes. Phones should be stored in lockers or other assigned other locations, not on students' person.

SHIRTS Colors (solid): WHITE, BLACK, GRAY, NAVY or ECRU Types: Polo, turtleneck, button-front Oxford, blouse-style shirts with long/short sleeves MUST have a collar A small, unobtrusive logo that can be covered with a quarter is acceptable All tops must be long enough to remain tucked in as part of the uniform Undershirts must be solid black or white with no wording or pictures T-shirts are considered undershirts  PANTS, SKIRTS, SKORTS, JUMPERS, CAPRI PANTS, SHORTS Colors (solid): KHAKI, BLACK, or NAVY Cargo pants and shorts are NOT allowed Skirts, skorts, jumpers, and shorts, shall be modest and of sufficient length The length of these articles of clothing shall preferably be knee-length but absolutely no shorter than the width of a $1.00 bill from the knee when standing No blue jeans (denim material), leggings or jeggings Must be free of graphics and embroidery With the exception of small labels, they may not have insignias, logos, words or pictures SHOES/FOOTWEAR/SOCKS Colors: WHITE, BLACK, NAVY, GRAY, BROWN, or Any Combination of these colors• Absolutely NO flip flips or flip flop-type sandals, slides or slide-type shoes A combination in color is defined as a solid colored shoe with a small amount of other board approved colors Patterns; such as, polka-dots, camouflage, checks, stripes, other prints, etc. are not permitted BELTS Colors (solid): BLACK, BROWN, NAVY, or CLEAR • MUST be worn AT ALL TIMES with all pants/shorts that feature belt loops   The Lanett City Board of Education believes a safe and disciplined learning environment is the first requirement of a high performing school.
