LANETT CITY SCHOOLS PREPARING Lanett STUDENTS TO Live Learn Lead UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS Please visit our website at www.lanettcityschools.org to view the full uniform policy  SHIRTS Colors (solid): WHITE, BLACK, GRAY, NAVY or ECRU Types: Polo, turtleneck, button-front Oxford, blouse-style shirts with long/short sleeves    MUST have a collar    A small, unobtrusive logo that can be covered with a quarter is acceptable    All tops must be long enough to remain tucked in as part of the uniform    Undershirts must be solid black or white with no wording or pictures    T-shirts are considered undershirts    PANTS, SKIRTS, SKORTS, JUMPERS, CAPRI PANTS, SHORTS Colors (solid): KHAKI, BLACK, or NAVY  Cargo pants and shorts are NOT allowed    Skirts, skorts, jumpers, and shorts, shall be modest and of sufficient length    The length of these articles of clothing shall preferably be knee-length but absolutely no shorter than the width of a $1.00 bill from the knee when standing    No blue jeans (denim material), leggings or jeggings    Must be free of graphics and embroidery    With the exception of small labels, they may not have insignias, logos, words or pictures    SHOES/FOOTWEAR/SOCKS Colors: WHITE, BLACK, NAVY, GRAY, BROWN, or Any Combination of these colors•  Absolutely NO flip flops or flip flop-type sandals, slides or slide-type shoes    A combination in color is defined as a solid colored shoe with a small amount of other board approved colors  Patterns; such as, polka-dots, camouflage, checks, stripes, other prints, etc. are not permitted  BELTS Colors (solid): BLACK, BROWN, NAVY, or CLEAR . Welcome our new Central Office Administrative Assistant. Mrs. Deidra Dozier Frederick began her career with Lanett City Schools in 2018 as the ACCESS Lab Facilitator and Color Guard Sponsor at Lanett High School. She faithfully served in those capacities for four years before transitioning in the fall of 2021 to the role of school secretary, where she served both Lanett Jr. High School and Lanett High School. Throughout her tenure with the district, she has remained committed to providing exceptional service while supporting students, families, faculty, staff, and administrators.  In her current role as Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Dozier-Frederick is honored to support the Superintendent, Central Office staff, the Lanett City Board of Education, district employees, and community stakeholders. She is committed to fostering positive relationships, promoting effective communication, and contributing to the continued success and growth of the Lanett City School District.

As you prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, Lanett City Schools recommends that students use clear backpacks to help promote a safe and secure learning environment. Families purchasing backpacks for the upcoming school year are encouraged to keep this recommendation in mind while shopping.

Cognia is a nonprofit organization that provides quality assurance for schools, school districts, and education service providers.   “Accreditation as conferred by the Cognia Global Accreditation Commission provides Lanett City Schools a nationally recognized mark of quality for our school system,” shared Jennifer Boyd, Superintendent. “It demonstrates to our community our commitment to excellence, our willingness to enact meaningful change based on evaluation and feedback, and our desire to be the best we can be on behalf of the students we serve.”   Cognia recognizes schools and districts across the globe that meet rigorous standards focused on productive learning environments, equitable resource allocation, and effective leadership. To earn Cognia Systems Accreditation, a school district must submit to internal and external review. Earning accreditation from the Cognia Global Accreditation Commission means that the school system meets Cognia Performance Standards and maintains a commitment to continuous improvement. Schools and districts in good standing can maintain their accreditation for a six-year term.   Dr. Mark A. Mrs. Hargett has faithfully served our district as an elementary teacher for 27 years, while Mrs. Vaughn has dedicated the past 10 years as the Central Office Administrative Assistant. Their commitment, service, and impact on Lanett City Schools are deeply appreciated.
