Lanett City Schools announced today that it has earned Cognia Systems Accreditation.
This achievement reflects our district’s commitment to excellence, our willingness to engage in meaningful continuous improvement through evaluation and feedback, and our dedication to providing the very best educational experience for the students we serve.
We are proud of this accomplishment and grateful to our faculty, staff, students, families, and community for their continued support and partnership.

The Lanett City Board of Education proudly recognized its 2025–2026 retirees during Tuesday’s board meeting.
Mrs. Hargett has faithfully served our district as an elementary teacher for 27 years, while Mrs. Vaughn has dedicated the past 10 years as the Central Office Administrative Assistant. Their commitment, service, and impact on Lanett City Schools are deeply appreciated.
We thank them for the difference they have made in the lives of our students, staff, and community, and we wish them both a happy and rewarding retirement! 🎉

Who: All Traditional (Face-To-Face) students in Grades 2–11.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
All devices for traditional students will be deactivated on Wednesday, May 13th. Please plan accordingly for any final assignments!
