Lanett City School's Career and Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Committee members play a vital role in strengthening the connection between education and industry. Industry partners' expertise and collaboration help ensure that CTE programs remain aligned with current workforce demands, industry standards, and emerging career opportunities.
Through this partnership, Chambers County has joined forces with Lanett City Schools’ CTE Advisory Committee to strengthen regional collaboration, promote workforce development, and expand student opportunities. Working together as one county, we are committed to preparing students with the knowledge, technical skills, and industry credentials they need to succeed in today’s workforce and contribute to our community's economic growth.

Important Schedule Details:
Early Dismissal: Students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM. (Specific dismissal procedures will be provided by each individual school). Report Card Pick-Up & Brief Teacher Visits: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
Stop by to pick up your child’s report card and connect with their teachers!
Fall Break: October 19th & 20th
Schools will be CLOSED for Fall Break.

It’s National School Lunch Week (October 12–16)! At Lanett City Schools, we’re proud to provide free, nutritious breakfast and lunch to every student daily. To celebrate, our cafeterias are running a fun "Cafeteria Circus" theme featuring special decorations and delicious themed menu items.

The Lanett Board of Education has appointed Mr. David Gagnon to fill the District IV vacancy, where he will serve the remainder of the current term.

A dedicated team of our teachers and administrators recently traveled to Atlanta to participate in the RCA Experience (RCA EXP) at the world-renowned Ron Clark Academy!
Our team dove deep into RCA’s legendary House System—learning dynamic strategies to boost school culture, foster student engagement, build meaningful relationships, and cultivate character across our entire school community.
From experiencing the high-energy house reveals to learning best practices for point tracking, house meetings, and student leadership, our educators returned re-energized and full of innovative ideas to bring back to our classrooms.
We can’t wait to share this excitement and see the positive impact of the House System in our schools!

Lanett City Schools recently launched its New & Novice Teacher Academy, designed to support our new teachers and educators with less than two years of teaching experience as they grow and develop in their profession.
The academy provides opportunities for professional learning, collaboration, reflection, and practical support to help our newest educators build confidence, strengthen their instructional practices, and create positive learning experiences for our students.

Suicide is the second leading cause of death among youth aged 10–24 across the U.S. and in Alabama, making connected communities, early recognition, and open support critical for saving lives. Every student needs to know they are not alone and that there is a trusted adult who cares.
