The Lanett City Board of Education believes the implementation of a school uniform policy will: promote a positive learning environment, build school and community spirit, develop respect for one's self and one's peers, and most importantly, positively impact academic standards.

When will it Begin?
If the Board approves the policy, students will be required to wear uniforms at the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year.
Who will have to wear them?
The uniform will be required for all students in grades K-12.

Text Box: Shoes and Belts
Footwear must be worn by all students at all times. Students may wear athletic shoes, boat shoes, sandals or loafers provided they are black, white, or brown in color.
Pants, etc. with belt loops will require a belt. Belts must be a plain black or brown belt with a plain belt buckle that is not oversized. All belts must be buckled.
